Activations: A Symposium – Recording Now Available

Opening slide for “Activations: A Fluxus Symposium,” Friday, February 27, 2026, featuring the word “ACTIVATIONS” in bold black text on a green bar over a coluorful abstract background.

We are pleased to share that the recording of Activations: A Symposium is now available to watch on YouTube.

Held at HKB Bern on 27 February, the symposium marked the second day of the Fluxus Fête, a series of events celebrating the radical spirit of Fluxus while celebrating the conclusion of the research project Activating Fluxus, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The symposium brought together speakers from the Fluxus milieu and beyond to address the concept of activation, including Tim Ingold, Natasha Lushetich, and Judit Bodor. The programme also featured moderators and discussants Natilee Harren, Elke Gruhn, Sally Kawamura, Emilie Parendeau, and Stefanie Manthey, alongside presentations by project team members Josephine Ellis, Aga Wielocha, and Hanna Hölling.

We warmly thank everyone who attended, contributed to, and supported the event. Many hands and minds worked behind the scenes to bring the symposium to life.
