Congratulations to our postdoctoral fellow, Aga Wielocha, on her new article “When Art Shifts, Conservation Expands.” Drawing on the story of Rhineland conservator and collector Wolfgang Hahn (1924–1987), the article sheds light on how micro-histories of conservation challenge linear narratives of progress and encourage a broader exploration of conservation’s diverse expressions, both within and beyond the professionally defined field. It appears in The Invention of Scientific Conservation: Expert Cultures of Conservation after the Second World War, edited by Sven Dupré and Esther van Duijin and published by Brill.
You can find her full article open access here. Congrats again, Aga!
